What does the Child Brain Injury Trust do?

When families are faced with the devastating impact of a child’s brain injury, suddenly they are plunged into a new reality that they could never have imagined. Products and services are available that can make a massive difference to a child during their rehabilitation, but they can be expensive and tricky to find. Families need to know where to look and feel confident that they are making the right choices during a difficult time. The CBIT in Hand app is a place they can turn to.

Teams of ABI Coordinators, who work directly with families, are often asked to suggest products that may benefit a child through their rehabilitation, and now they can inform them of all the support available through the app’s new Marketplace.

The Marketplace is a new and dedicated section within the app where families and users can browse a catalogue of products and services ranging from assistive technology (like Inspiration), educational tools, clothing, and home adaptations to therapy services, nursing care, and financial products, etc., with the added reassurance that all these suppliers have been carefully vetted and approved by the Trust.

It gives parents and families access to virtual support for childhood concussions, head injuries, and acquired brain injury (ABI).
It reaches more professionals who need advice and support around this subject.
It provides access to tailored information, at your fingertips, when needed.
It offers a vast range of resources and support available, as well as signposting to relevant organisations.
